  1. What is the cost of program?

    The basic cost, if we are in your area, is $675 for one show and $175 for an additional show at the same site. Please visit the Pricing Page for detailed information.

  2. How do schools qualify for a grant?


    The school can contact the National MADD office to see if grant funding is available.

    MADD also recommends that you work with local organizations (i.e. Parent Teachers Associations) or businesses to inquire about possible donations and/or grant funding.

  3. What ages are appropriate for each of the shows?


    The Spot and Take Two
    The target audience for The Spot and Take Two is grades 7-12.

    Game On
    The target age for Game On is grades K-6.

  4. Can I view a clip of the program before agreeing to an assembly?


    Yes. You can view clips of the show on our Web site.

  5. What are the suggested assembly times?


    MADD recommends booking a show between the following times:

    Morning Shows: 8 AM – 9:30 AM
    Afternoon Shows : 1 PM - 3 PM

  6. What are the requirements to have assembly?


    Space
    Recommended space is 15ft high/45ft width (gyms and auditoriums are ideal); the area between the projector and the screen needs to be 30-35 ft. Modified set-ups are available with advance notice. Please speak with a School Outreach scheduling coordinator for more information..

    Power
    3, 20-amp circuits

    Assistance
    We require 4-5 volunteers (can be students) to assist with set up/breakdown.

    Lighting
    The viewing area needs to be as dark as possible, windows or skylights that allow ambient light from outside MUST be covered prior to arrival

    Set-up/Break-down time
    The show takes an hour and a half to set up and 45 minutes to break down

  7. How do I secure a date for the assembly?

  9. How long is each multi-media show?


    The Secondary School Shows take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to present, NOT including set-up and break-down time.

    The Elementary School Shows take approximately 35-45 minutes to present, NOT including set-up and break-down time.

  12. Can we have another activity along with having the multi-media presentation, such as a speaker?


    Be sure to talk with a MADD Coordinator about time issues if a another speaker is scheduled to talk before or after the presentation.

  13. If I'm a parent or teacher, how can I bring a MADD School Assembly show to my school?


    Many schools across the country have a strong desire to provide quality assembly programs for their students. All too often there are factors that keep schools from bringing assemblies in, please talk to your MADD Coordinator about options and see the funding ideas below.

    Find Funding Within
    Often times, many different organizations within schools work on projects that require fund raising efforts. Team up with two or more groups within the school to bring in an assembly. The following is a list of potential groups that may team up to bring in a MADD assembly:
    • Alumni Association
    • Athletic Departments
    • Counseling Department
    • Booster Club
    • Cheerleading Department
    • Health Club
    • PTA/PTO
    • SADD, PRIDE or any other drug free club
    • Safe and Drug Free School Coordinator
    • Student Counsel
    • Title 1 Coordinator

    Local Businesses Have Money
    Many entities, both large and small, have funds allocated to help reach young people with their marketing efforts. It is also common for organizations to set aside money to help schools provide educational materials and/or programs to their students. The following is a short list of possible funding sources within your own community that may help you to bring assembly shows to the schools in your area:

    • Family Restaurants
    • Insurance Companies
    • Local Police, Hospitals, and Fire Departments
    • Movie Houses
    • Soft Drink Companies
    • Sporting Good Stores
